Franklin is coming to the Maryland

Franklin, our administrator in the DR,  will be coming to Maryland  to have much needed eye surgery.  Many of you know and love Franklin and have donated funds for this surgery.  We are happy to say that Franklin will arrive  on August 23rd  and have the surgery performed on August 31.  Franklin will be staying  here to recuperate until September 27th.  While he is here, Franklin has offered to speak at  churches who have supported our ministry.  Please see the “Event” section of this website for  a list of churches that Franklin will be speaking at.

     The Least of These Ministries is a non-denominational Christian organization  that is dedicated to assisting the Haitian harvesters who live in work camps in the Dominican Republic.  These work camps are known as bateys and offer little more than basic protection from the elements.  Those living in the bateys have very little work and virtually no means to raise money for food and other basic necessities.  Batey children have little or no clothing, very little food and the infant death rates runs about 30 %

The Least of These Ministries is dedicated to helping people in the bateys near the Barahona area of the Dominican Republic.  By providing one meal per week of rice and beans, The Least of These Ministries is helping to give nourishment both physically and spiritually to help those living is destitute. Currently the Least of These ministries is providing food for 7,300 people on a weekly basis.  There are still another 7,000 people in the area that we cannot reach because of budget limitations.  With your help, this ministry would be able to feed more.
